Lower Wilds

The Lower Wilds form the eastern threshold of Feralas, where the humid forests meet the arid canyons of Thousand Needles. The main road cutting through these woods connects Thalanaar at the border to the settlements further west, flanked by ancient greenery and unpredictable woodland creatures.

The Eastern Frontier

Spanning the eastern reaches of Feralas, the Lower Wilds serve as the natural transition between the sun-baked ravines of Thousand Needles and the deep, primordial jungle to the west. Travelers entering the zone must traverse this stretch of forest along the main highway, past the elven outpost of Thalanaar guarding the mountain pass. The dense canopies here house ancient treants, alongside indigenous wildlife that makes straying from the beaten path perilous.

A Contested Highway

Because it links the southern wilderness to the eastern territories, the Lower Wilds see frequent movement of travelers, scouts, and couriers. While the night elves hold the gateway at Thalanaar, the Horde maintains Camp Mojache further inland. The road winding through the Lower Wilds is therefore a critical lifeline for anyone moving supplies across southern Kalimdor, fraught with both nature's hazards and faction tensions.
