Launch Bay
The Launch Bay is a subterranean airfield and hangar tucked within the depths of Gnomeregan, located just beyond the Hall of Gears. Once the staging ground for gnomish flying machines and bombers, it has fallen completely under the control of hostile leper gnomes and corrupted mechanical contraptions.
A Grounded Airfield
Serving as the primary hangar for Gnomeregan's aerial fleet, the Launch Bay is split across two tiers. Its central platform, reached by ramps from the upper walkway, still houses parked gnomish flying machines and heavy bombers that never made it out before the city was evacuated. Instead of skilled pilots, the flight decks are now crawling with crazed leper gnomes who maintain and guard the idling war machines.
Crossroads of the Deep City
Beyond its military role, the Launch Bay serves as a vital junction within the complex. Ramps from its southeastern corridor descend into the Engineering Labs, while a southern passage on the lower deck is choked with invading Dark Iron dwarves. That southern tunnel provides a perilous path toward the heart of the city at Tinkers' Court.
