Gold Coast Quarry

The Gold Coast Quarry is an open-pit mine carved into the bluffs of southwestern Westfall. Once a prized source of stone, minerals, and gold for the Kingdom of Stormwind, it has been seized by the Defias Brotherhood to fuel their growing insurrection.

Before the kingdom fell into neglect, the Gold Coast Quarry supplied raw building materials and precious gold to help rebuild Stormwind. When royal troops withdrew from Westfall and left the countryside unprotected, Defias highwaymen and renegade laborers took control of the diggings. The Brotherhood now patrols the terraced stone ramps, using the site's vantage over the coast and plundering whatever minerals remain to fund their rebellion.
