Gelkis Village
Gelkis Village is the primary stronghold of the earth-aligned Gelkis centaur clan in southwestern Desolace. Built around a rugged ravine connected by wooden spans and cliffside paths, the settlement guards the southern route toward Feralas. Its vantage directly overlooks the main north-south road, making it a perilous crossing for any traveler who has not earned the clan's favor.
A Fortress in the Ravine
Gelkis Village sits in a deep, craggy gorge framed by precarious bluffs and rope bridges. Unlike the nomadic raiders of the Barrens, the Gelkis have fortified their ancestral grounds into a permanent settlement, complete with outposts spreading toward the border of Feralas. The heart of the clan's leadership lies within Bolgan's Hole, a cavern carved into the southern cliff face where Khan Shaka oversees his warriors. Travelers trekking south through Desolace must either cut a bloody path through the gorge or tread carefully, as the Gelkis view uninvited wanderers as fair game in their eternal war against their rival centaur brethren.
