Fungal Vale
The Fungal Vale is a deeply blighted depression located in the south-central Eastern Plaguelands, just north of the Crown Guard Tower and Marris Stead. Choked in a murky haze and blanketed with dark purple earth, the valley showcases the raw, mutating power of the Plague of Undeath. It swarms with roaming Scourge horrors and mortal acolytes serving the Cult of the Damned.
A Garden of Rot
Situated north of Marris Stead, the Fungal Vale represents one of the most thoroughly corrupted pockets in Lordaeron. The ground here has turned a sickly purple, swollen with alien fungal growths and drowning under a perpetual, murky haze produced by necrotic spores. Rather than simply killing the ecosystem, the Plague of Undeath has warped the soil to cultivate unholy flora, feeding monstrous carrion beasts and shambling undead. Cult of the Damned members frequent the area, tending to the blighted blooms and conducting foul rites amidst the unnatural decay.
