Frayfeather Highlands
The Frayfeather Highlands form an elevated wilderness in the dense forests of Feralas. This remote plateau is the ancestral roost and nesting ground of the wild Frayfeather hippogryphs. Intrepid scavengers and naturalists often brave its territorial flocks in search of intact hippogryph eggs.
Aerie of the Hippogryphs
Rising above the surrounding forest floor of Feralas, the Frayfeather Highlands are dominated by steep slopes and crags where wild hippogryphs raise their broods. The local flocks are notoriously aggressive toward intruders, fiercely defending the scattered nests tucked among the rock shelves. Because these beasts are so well adapted to the rugged cliffs, their nesting grounds have drawn significant interest from outsiders—most notably goblin entrepreneurs in distant Gadgetzan who seek unhatched eggs for study and profit.
