Eastwall Gate

Eastwall Gate is a fortified side entrance set into the perimeter wall of the fallen city of Stratholme. Located in the northern reaches of the Eastern Plaguelands, it offers a direct secondary access point into Stratholme's interior ruins, bypassing the chaos of the city's main gates.

The Back Door to Ruin

While the grand main entrance of Stratholme opens directly onto King's Square, the Eastwall Gate pierces the city's eastern fortifications. Barred securely against intruders, this gateway leads straight into Elders' Square, close by the steps of Alonsus Chapel. For those venturing into the burning heart of the Scourge stronghold, bypassing the front barricades can mean the difference between a swift strike into the city's depths and a meatgrinder assault through the forward undead lines.

Through the Iron Lattice

Gaining entry through the Eastwall Gate is no simple matter. It is sealed tightly by heavy ironwork that requires the Key to the City, recovered from inside Stratholme itself, or an exceptionally skilled infiltrator capable of picking masterwork locks. Once past the threshold, a heavy mechanical lever mounted on the inner wall allows travelers to raise the portcullis from the inside, opening a reliable path for allies to follow.
