Blackrock Pass
Blackrock Pass is a mountain corridor connecting the northern cliffs of Redridge Mountains to the arid wastes of the Burning Steppes. Passing beneath a heavy iron gate, it marks the sudden threshold between the tranquil human heartlands and the dangerous war grounds of the Dark Iron dwarves and the Blackrock orcs. For any weary traveler journeying north on foot, it represents a harsh and perilous frontier.
A Scorched Threshold
Carved into the jagged spine of the mountains, Blackrock Pass serves as the overland route between Redridge Mountains and the Burning Steppes. A stout iron gate stands along the rocky boundary, demarcating the idyllic forests and lakes of the southern valleys from the volcanic ruin beyond. Crossing this line leaves behind the pastoral lands protected by Lakeshire's beleaguered militia, thrusting travelers into an open wasteland populated by fire elementals, dragonkin, and hostile orc warbands. Few make the crossing on foot unless bound for the shadow of Blackrock Mountain itself.
