Falling With Style
"Falling With Style" is an introductory rite of passage for young Skyborne in Thendal Village. Offered atop the local watchtower by the mischievous Myriaal Mistwake, it challenges novices to test their innate slow-fall ability by leaping from the platform toward Rorian the Dayseeker below.
Quest text
Well hello there, friend! Want to play a game?
All you've got to do is step up on that ledge... Then jump! Use your innate ability to walk on the air to slow your fall and see how far forward you can float.
The rules are made up and the points don't matter, but you get bonus points if you can land right in front of Rorian the Dayseeker and startle him! He won't like it but I'll certainly get a good laugh if you can get him all worked up! Hah!
Progress
Using your ability to walk on air can get you out of--and, well... Into--all kinds of trouble!

How many times do I need to tell Myriaal not to encourage others to make reckless usage of our skyborne gifts!
That being said, I suppose that a little bit of practice in the relative safety of the village is... Acceptable.
In the future I'd simply suggest you to use your ability judiciously. You do not want to exhaust your magic thoughtlessly and then not be able to use it when you truly need it.
