Wolf Heart Samples

While examining carcasses in Silverpine Forest, Apothecary Renferrel discovered that certain wolf hearts harbor a deadly compound. Strangely, the level of poison present within the tissue should easily be fatal to the wolves themselves. Recognizing the unique value of a physiology that thrives while saturated in lethal toxicity, Renferrel set aside tissue samples to be dispatched directly to Undercity. For the Forsaken, studying naturally resilient or toxic organisms is a critical step in mastering biological warfare and compounding new reagents.

Entrusted to couriers heading deep beneath the ruins of Lordaeron, the samples are delivered to Apothecary Zinge within the Royal Apothecary Society's headquarters in the Apothecarium. Zinge and her colleagues prize novel toxins above almost all else. By dissecting and experimenting on these tainted tissues, the Society seeks to isolate the virulent compounds and unravel how the beasts survived them, hoping to apply the principles to their own alchemical projects.
