Vile Familiar Head
A Vile Familiar Head is a gruesome trophy collected from the feral impish creatures dwelling near the Burning Blade Coven in the Valley of Trials. Young Horde warlocks gather them under the guidance of Ruzan as proof of their combat readiness before learning to bind their first demonic minions. The heads serve as a grim test of discipline, showing that an apprentice understands the lethality of the beings they intend to summon.
A Gruesome Lesson in Demonology
Within the sun-baked canyon of the Valley of Trials, the warlock trainer Ruzan demands six Vile Familiar Heads from novices seeking to learn the art of summoning. The vile familiars that loiter outside the Burning Blade Coven are vicious, fiery imps whose diminutive stature conceals dangerous elemental cunning. Ruzan requires prospective summoners to face these fiends in battle and sever their heads to prove they can subdue and command demonic life rather than be overpowered by it. Because warlocks are barely tolerated within Thrall's Horde, training requires extreme caution; reckless novices who perish to their own conjurations only deepen the dishonor and suspicion cast upon practitioners of the dark arts.
