Torch of the Dormant Flame
The Torch of the Dormant Flame is a ritual implement carried by young Horde shaman during their communion with fire in Durotar. Awaiting the defeat of a flame manifestation atop the mountain, it serves as a vessel meant to capture primal elemental fire upon the Shrine of the Dormant Flame.
Vessel of Awakening
A shaman seeking the favor of fire is entrusted with the unlit Torch of the Dormant Flame before ascending the peaks above Durotar. After drinking a spirit-revealing fire sapta, the shaman sees and challenges a Minor Manifestation of Fire upon the mountaintop. Slaying this elemental spirit yields a glowing ember, which is deposited into the weathered brazier of the Shrine of the Dormant Flame. Touching the head of the dormant torch to the resulting white-hot conflagration awakens the wood, transforming it into a burning emblem of elemental mastery.
