Swoop Gizzard

Swoops are predatory avian hunters native to the plains and mesas of Mulgore, known for their keen eyesight and scavenging nature. While their feathers and meat serve everyday uses for the tauren, their internal organs—particularly the gizzard—are prized by herbalists and healers. When combined with other potent animal remnants like cougar bones and wolf hearts, the dense muscular organ aids in neutralizing venomous animal bites and halting festering systemic infections.

In Bloodhoof Village, the medicine worker Maur Raincaller fell prey to the legendary plainstrider Mazzranache, suffering a vicious, venomous wound to his shoulder. Falling into delirium from the creeping poison, Maur relies on a swoop gizzard alongside a prairie wolf heart, a flatland cougar femur, and a plainstrider scale to concoct a curative poultice capable of expelling the beast's lethal venom.
