Mist Veil's Lockbox

The night elven vessel Mist Veil met its end while sailing the treacherous coastal waters toward Auberdine. Ambushed by hostile murlocs alongside its sister ship, the Silver Dawning, the vessel was overwhelmed and sent to the ocean floor. Its captain perished during the attack, leaving behind their logbook and prized personal belongings sealed inside this lockbox. Resting in the flooded hold, the chest remains a grim trophy surrounded by the very creatures responsible for the catastrophe.

For the surviving sailors who managed to reach Auberdine, the loss of their vessel and commander remains an open wound. Gorbold Steelhand seeks the recovery of the Mist Veil's Lockbox so the captain's final effects can be properly honored and laid to rest. Braving the flooded ruins to salvage the chest offers some measure of solace to the grief-stricken survivors stranded on the mainland.
