Merrin's Letter
Merrin's Letter is an urgent message written by Merrin Rockweaver, an archaeologist trapped at the dig site in the Wetlands. It recounts the catastrophic overrun of their archaeological expedition by vicious raptors and assures her loved ones of her immediate survival.
A Dispatch from the Ruins
While excavating enormous prehistoric fossils and relics at the Whelgar's Excavation site in the Wetlands, the dwarven expedition disturbed a nest of ferocious Mottled Raptors. The beasts swarmed the trenches, slaughtering several workers and cutting off the surviving researchers from escape. Penning this note amidst the chaos, Merrin Rockweaver wrote to inform her husband Tarrel back at Menethil Harbor that while the dig lies in ruins, she, Prospector Whelgar, and Ormer Ironbraid managed to survive behind barricaded shelter.
