Mangy Claw
The Mangy Claw is a severed claw taken from the great ice claw bear Mangeclaw in Dun Morogh. It serves as grim proof that the deadly beast responsible for killing a stranded dwarven pilot has finally been slain.
A Dying Pilot's Wish
When Pilot Hildelve's steam tank broke down in the frozen hills of Dun Morogh, he continued his search for ore on foot, only to face the mountain wilderness alone. As recorded in his recovered journal, Hildelve managed to fight off an initial attack by a monstrous ice claw bear named Mangeclaw, though he was savagely mauled in the struggle. The beast later returned to finish off the weakened pilot. Hildelve's final written entry pleaded for vengeance against the predator, a task fulfilled by taking the Mangy Claw from the fallen bear.
