Highperch Wyvern Egg

Highperch Wyvern Eggs are clutch eggs gathered from the nesting grounds atop the high mesas of Thousand Needles. They are sought after by aspiring Horde wind riders to raise and train new aerial mounts.

Nests on the Mesa

The high plateau of Highperch in Thousand Needles provides a natural sanctuary for native wyverns to roost and raise their young. Accessible only via steep winding paths up the canyon walls, these nesting grounds are fiercely guarded by adult beasts. The eggs laid among these roosts are sturdy and warm, holding developing hatchlings capable of adapting to the harsh skies of Kalimdor.

Raising New Wind Riders

Across Kalimdor, the demand for trained wyverns continually outstrips supply as the Horde expands its courier and scouting networks. At Freewind Post, trainees like the tauren Elu seek out intact eggs directly from wild aeries. By raising the hatchlings from their shells, handlers hope to forge the deep bonds required to train trustworthy winged mounts for the Horde's wind riders.
