Etched Note

The Etched Note is a formal summons delivered to promising young tauren hunters resting at Camp Narache. Penned by the camp's hunter trainer, Lanka Farshot, the message welcomes the novice into the traditions of the hunt and calls them forward for their initial instruction.

A Call to the Hunt

Within the safe confines of Camp Narache, young shu'halo are recognized early for their natural inclinations and family lineages. The Etched Note is delivered by a runner on behalf of Lanka Farshot, the resident hunter mentor. It names the hunter as the heart of the tribe while serving as a stern reminder that raw instinct must be tempered through rigorous instruction and a deep reverence for the wilderness of Mulgore.

Traditions of the Shu'halo

For the tauren, hunting is far more than a practical method of survival—it is an honored, sacred discipline woven into tribal society. The note reminds the reader that hunters blend the roles of warriors, shamans and druids, and that the tribe will look to them for guidance and protection. By presenting the letter to Lanka, the student takes their first official steps into learning weaponcraft, understanding beasts, and fulfilling their duty to defend and sustain the tribes.
