Encrypted Parchment

Young orcs seeking to prove their martial prowess in the Valley of Trials typically fight out in the open sun. However, those showing an aptitude for stealth, deception, and bladecraft draw a very different kind of attention. The Encrypted Parchment is handed to promising orc rogues by Gornek once they have cut their teeth against the local wildlife. Rather than an open announcement, the message is coded to ensure that only someone with an eye for subterfuge heeds the call.

Deciphering the parchment directs the novice deep into the cave known as the Den, past the watchful eye of other clan trainers to find Rwag. There, the recruit learns that the summons was arranged on behalf of the Shattered Hand—an order operating within the Horde's covert network. By answering the parchment, the rogue takes their first step into a world of espionage, shadowcraft, and guarded secrets.
