Death Cap
The Death Cap is a rare, potent fungus found hidden in the shadowed cavern behind Cliffspring Falls in Darkshore. Sought by night elf alchemists for its unique properties, harvesting it requires venturing into a subterranean den warned against by the Grove of the Ancients.
A Toxic Bloom in the Dark
The Death Cap grows exclusively in the subterranean dampness of the cave tucked behind Cliffspring Falls, situated along the northeastern mountain ridges of Darkshore. Unlike the more plentiful scaber stalks that carpet the surrounding cavern floor, the Death Cap is scarce and distinct. Night elf herbalists like Barithras Moonshade value the fungus for experimental brewing, though retrieving even a single specimen requires braving a cavern whispered to harbor a nascent corruption.
