Crawler Leg

The crabs of Darkshore—ranging from pygmy tide crawlers to larger reef crawlers—are known for their sturdy, resilient shells. While night elf sentinels pay little mind to the discarded limbs of coastal vermin, the eccentric gnome engineer Wizbang Cranktoggle found an unexpected use for them. Operating out of Auberdine, Wizbang designed his prototype long-distance communication devices, known as buzzboxes, to run on improvised local components. The segmented joints and durable chitin of crawler legs provide the precise mechanical friction and leverage required to repair Buzzbox 827, situated along the shoreline just south of town.
