Cask of Shimmer Stout

Brewed in Brewnall Village by Rejold Barleybrew, Shimmer Stout quickly earned high marks among local patrons and mountaineers who braved the biting frosts of Dun Morogh. Impressed by his brother's concoction, Mountaineer Barleybrew commissioned a cask to be hauled through the eastern pass into Loch Modan. Dwarves hold strong drink in high regard as both a social staple and a practical defense against the biting mountain chill, and sharing a fresh vintage with far-flung comrades is a time-honored military tradition.

When opened and sampled by Mountaineer Kadrell along his watch in Thelsamar, the brew proves true to its reputation. Far from ordinary tavern draught, a single draught of Shimmer Stout is said to lighten limbs and leave a soldier feeling as though they could take flight—the exact sort of invigorating potion a dwarven scout relies upon while walking long, lonely patrols along the high roads.
