Blueleaf Tuber

Though native to the Barrens, Blueleaf Tubers grow only in the subterranean depths beneath Razorfen Kraul. Concealed beneath the dense root systems and quilboar briars, they remain hidden to casual foragers. Despite their harsh growing conditions, they fetch an exorbitant price among wealthy gourmands and traders worldwide who savor their unique flavor.

Because the roots cannot be easily spotted by surface dwellers, the enterprising goblin Mebok Mizzyrix in Ratchet devised an unusual harvesting method. By training native snufflenose gophers to detect the tubers by scent from fifty paces away, adventurers guided by specialized command sticks can unearth the roots from the soil before quilboar patrols catch wind of the intrusion.
