Swarming Pillar
The Swarming Pillar is a towering rock formation in the heart of Silithus, thoroughly infested and reshaped by the silithid. Situated just south of Cenarion Hold, the spire takes its name from the relentless clouds of winged insectoids buzzing around its peaks and subterranean entrances.
A Spire of Chitin and Sand
Rising abruptly from the shifting dunes of central Silithus, the Swarming Pillar serves as a grim monument to the unchecked expansion of the silithid. What began as a natural rock formation has been carved and encrusted with the resinous secretions and burrows of the insectoid swarm. Just south of Cenarion Hold, it constantly churns out broods of winged workers and soldiers, whose dark clouds fill the dry desert air and warn travelers to keep their distance.
Heart of the Hive
Though massive and intimidating on the surface, the Swarming Pillar is merely the outward protrusion of a vast underground network. Beneath its stony exterior lie deep tunnels and cavernous breeding chambers that anchor one of the largest hives in the region. The Cenarion Circle views the spire with immense concern, as its active broods directly threaten druidic operations and hint at the terrifying coordination behind the insectoid menace.
