Sundown Marsh
Sundown Marsh marks the deepest, westernmost reaches of the Wetlands where stagnant waters meet treacherous wildlife. Despite the prowling raptors, oozes, and gnolls, an eccentric pair maintains a solitary homestead along its muddy borders.
A Wild and Murky Sinkhole
Sundown Marsh sits tucked into the northwest of the Wetlands, characterized by deep water, thick mud, and a dense population of predators. Giant crocolisks, shifting oozes, roaming raptors, and territorial Mosshide gnolls roam freely through the mist. The hazardous terrain keeps most passing travelers strictly to the main cobblestone road connecting Menethil Harbor to Ironforge, leaving this deep corner largely untamed.
Life at the Edge of the Mire
Amid the hazards of the marsh stands a lonely stone cottage topped with a churning windmill. There, the gnome Fradd Swiftgear and the dwarf Wenna Silkbeard make an unlikely living scavenging the bog. They peddle curiosities and rare trade recipes recovered from the mire to travelers brave enough to navigate the marsh's aggressive denizens.
