Mirage Flats
Mirage Flats is a barren, sun-scorched expanse nestled in the central wastes of the Badlands. Lying east of Dustbelch Grotto, this dry plateau is notorious for shimmering heat hazes and hungry predators.
A Scorched Wasteland
Situated east of Dustbelch Grotto, the Mirage Flats present travelers with an unforgiving stretch of cracked red dirt and shimmering heat waves that give the plain its name. Few civilized souls linger here; instead, the open flats are dominated by opportunistic scavengers and lethal beasts. Flocks of giant buzzards circle lazily on hot thermals above, watching for the leavings of ferocious ridge stalkers and pack-hunting crag coyotes that scour the brush for easy prey.
