Quest
Secure the Mountain
Secure the Mountain is a scouting report delivered on behalf of Mountaineer Gretchen to Senir Whitebeard in Kharanos. After an expedition into a nearby cave proves catastrophic, Gretchen determines the cavern is a lost cause and refuses to send any more scouts into the overrun death trap. The mission highlights the ongoing struggle of Ironforge's mountaineers to keep Dun Morogh safe amidst rising threats.
Quest text
Hopefully ye put down a fair number of the mongrels while you were in there. Shame about Cornelius, though.
From what you described, there's not much to report other than the cave is a lost cause. Whitebeard's not gonna like that answer, but I'm not darin' sendin' anybody else into that death trap.
Feel free tae pass along the message, friend. I'm not leavin' this spot till the mountain's secure.
Progress
Ah, you're back just in time.
What's the matter, lad? You look like you've seen a ghost.
