The Wounds of Betrayal
The Wounds of Betrayal is a quest in Shadowgale Forest centering on the aftermath of a tragic assault against the rare shen'dorei druids. Players are sent by Elegael to deliver urgent poultices to her wounded brethren in Nightfang Den and search for her missing mate, Jorel Windsinger. The mission quickly exposes the bitter costs of betrayal and fuels a vengeful conflict against the Al'Aketh.
Quest text
I have finished the poultices. Quickly, take them to the druids in the cave, north just across the clearing. I know my brethren are in much more dire condition than I. They are likely too injured to heal their own wounds. There are so few of us shen'dorei druids that every life is precious.
Before you go, I have a selfish request. My mate, Jorel Windsinger was in dire condition when I left. Please, see to his wounds if he still lives.

Elegael's face pales as you relay the fate of Jorel and the condition of the rest of the druids.
No... No! This is far worse than I had--
Elegael chokes back a sob and grits her teeth, letting out a pained snarl.
They will pay. They will ALL pay. Anyone who allies with the Al'Aketh will feel my wrath! This I swear.
