Tainted Heart
The Tainted Heart is a blighted floral core extracted from the corrupt flora of Teldrassil. Given to adventurers by the botanist Denalan, it requires magical and nutritive cleansing to rid it of lingering foul energies.
A Corrupted Core
Teldrassil's natural balance suffers from an unnatural malady, warping its native plants and beasts. After stripping away foul moss that clung to a blighted growth, Denalan presents this lingering core: the Tainted Heart. Though freed of its outer rot, darkness still permeates the tissue. Denalan seeks to discover whether specially prepared, nutrient-rich earth can counteract the lingering taint and restore life to what was corrupted.
