Rough Quartz

To the untrained eye, rough quartz appears to be nothing more than an ordinary desert pebble. Yet to a shaman communing with the spirits in Durotar or Mulgore, it is an elemental gift offered directly by a Minor Manifestation of Earth. The stone represents endurance, patience, and unwavering strength. When presented to an elder such as Canaga Earthcaller in the Valley of Trials, the quartz is bound into the carved wood of an Earth Totem, acting as the spiritual focus that links the fledgling shaman directly to the living soil of Azeroth.
