Clarice's Pendant is a small keepsake belonging to Clarice Foster, an undead resident of the Pools of Vision in Thunder Bluff. Once a token from her former husband, Yuriv, the jewelry now serves only as a bitter reminder of abandoned family and misplaced devotion to the Light.
A Bitter Token
Clarice's Pendant represents the fractured human past common to many of the Forsaken. Before the Third War consumed Lordaeron, Clarice's husband Yuriv abandoned her and their children to join the fight against the undead, proclaiming that devotion to the Holy Light took precedence over all else. Instead of saving his home, Yuriv perished, leaving his family behind to ultimately succumb to the very Scourge he set out to fight. For Clarice, the pendant is not a cherished memento, but an insulting trinket symbolizing a lifetime spent coming second to zealotry and duty.
