Boughs in the Wind
Boughs in the Wind is a traditional rite of passage where an apprentice gathers a wind-infused branch near Falaath Village to fashion a spell focus. Guided by Belann Windwood in Valanaar, the practice honors an ancient custom at a time when magical talent in Zephras is steadily dwindling.
Quest text
It is a time-honored tradition for young adventurers to create their own spell focus when they have shown a certain degree of magical proficiency. This is typically done by gathering a fallen branch from our oldest trees, as they have some lingering traces of elemental wind.
I have found the most ideal ones to be near the wind shrine, just south of Falaath Village. Go and bring me back a large branch and I will teach you about the traditions as we create your spell focus.
Progress
Every year that passes in Zephras sees fewer and fewer of those who are gifted with a talent for magic.
I am glad to see young adventurers such as yourself participate in our oldest traditions to help keep our history and culture alive and well.
