Tharnariun's Hope
Tharnariun's Hope is a specialized trap crafted by the night elf Tharnariun Treetender in Darkshore. Designed to pacify diseased wildlife rather than harm it, the device projects a calming light intended to tame rabid thistle bears so they can be examined for a cure.
A Gentle Snare
As a mysterious affliction spreads through Darkshore, the local thistle bears have grown increasingly frenzied and violent. Rather than sanctioning a cull of the afflicted wildlife, the druid Tharnariun Treetender crafted this unique trap in the hope of studying and curing the illness. When laid upon the ground, Tharnariun's Hope emits a soothing radiance. Any rabid thistle bear that steps across the trap's light has its frenzy temporarily broken, rendering the beast docile enough to follow an adventurer back to Tharnariun's camp for treatment.
